| Membership is available to all qualified
nurses caring for children.
Student nurses undertaking a children's nursing course
leading to a professional registration are also invited
and encouraged to join the Association.
The Association welcomes members from overseas. children's
nurses working abroad, who hope to work/return to Ireland,
may find it especially useful to be an IAPN member, to
keep up to date with professional issues and children's
nursing developments.
Membership subscription is 20 Euro for twelve months
Benefits of membership include:
- Invitation to quarterly meetings of of the IAPN,
to network and discuss relevant professional issues,
- Invitation to the IAPN's Annual National children's
Nursing Conference,
- Inclusion in the IAPN mailing list to receive information
on relevant study days courses etc.,
- Invaluable contact with other motivated and committed
children's nurses, both in your own local area and nationally,
to share ideas and discuss common problems/solutions,
- Opportunity to participate in a forum to share, promote
and disseminate evidence based practices specific to
children's nursing practice.
- Involvement in formulation of policies and in the
IAPN's response to consultation documents from the government
and other professional bodies/agencies,
- Opportunity to network with like minded colleagues
to enable development of professional links, friendships
and greater sharing of information,
- Ability to shape and develop the association to ensure
it meets the needs of the members.
