1 . TITLE
The Association shall be called 'Irish Diabetes Nurse SpecialistAssociation", (hereinafter referred to as "The Association")

2 . AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

a) To provide a forum for Nurse Specialists who are involved in the long term care of people who have diabetes.

b) To promote an increased awareness amongst the members of the need for specialist care for persons with diabetes.

c) To organise educational meetings and courses for members.

d) To provide a recognised training programme (which would be approved by An Bord Altranais) for diabetes specialist nurses.

e) To promote communication between the Association, local, national, and international groups involved in diabetes education and research.

f) To keep members of the Association informed of current trends in education care and research.

3 . CATEGORIES

There shall be three categories of members:
Full Membership.
Associate.
Honorary Membership.


4 . SUBSCRIPTIONS

The annual subscription for the Association shall be agreed at the Annual General Meeting. Each member and associate member shall pay his/her subscription at the Annual General Meeting or when notification of that meeting has been received.
