The TNN exists to:

• Identify training area for colleagues and members
• Act as a resource In Its own right and undertake the development of a data base of existing published and unpublished research
• Promote evidence based practice and effective transcultural health care
• Identify potential areas of research
• Provide a network opportunity for all nursing disciplines
• Link with nurses and other personnel working with ethnic minority clients / patients at national and international level.
